Planned Maintenance

It is proposed to defer most non urgent work until Winter/early Spring each year to avoid disruption during the bird nesting season. Any member identifying urgent remedial works should contact Fisheries Manager Arthur Frearson.

Official work parties normally start at 9am running for a minimum of 4 hours. Members are advised to wear suitable protective clothing, waders/chest waders and gloves, and if possible bring along own loppers, hand saw, rake, strimmer, chain saw and other site clearance hand tools – seek guidance from Fisheries Manager.

Members are reminded that work should not be undertaken at any of the venues without the express authority of the Fisheries Manager and/or committee, although the Society welcomes contributions either by way of labour, materials, professional expertise and/or finance.

The Society has been very fortunate to have a dedicated and willing core group of members who attend regular work parties and contribute their time throughout the year, without whom, maintenance, repairs and upkeep of waters would suffer considerably.
